
1 lb Dry or fresh pasta of choice
¼ cup Red wine
¾ cup Basil leaves - julienne cut
2 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
8 oz Raw Italian sausage or meat substitute

Lightly brown sausage in extra virgin olive oil.

Once cooked, remove sausage and drain fat. Deglaze pan with red wine.

Add jar of sauce and cooked sausage to the skillet. Let simmer for 5 minutes.

Cook pasta, drain, and top with sauce and fresh basil. Add pecorino Romano, if desired.
